Tegenover de VVV Kühtai begint achter het Wiesberghaus het in oostelijke richting voerende, licht stijgende pad naar de Hirschebensee (2.164 m.). Vanaf daar gaat het iets steiler bergopwaarts langs de Mittlere Plenderlessee (2.317 m.) en tot slot onder de stoeltjeslift door via de Drei-Seen-Hütte naar het stuwmeer Finstertal. Terug ofwel over de geasfalteerde weg, langs het Graaf Ferdinand huis of over het gemarkeerde en en bewegwijzerde pad naar beneden naar Kühtai.
