Highlight tours: 6 scenic ski tours

Here you’ll find six recommended ski tours, both on and off-piste. Two additional insider tips are the sun-kissed Mieming Plateau (Obsteig) and the ski touring paradise along the Sellrain Valley.

  • Skitour im Kühtai
    Icon Ski tour
A wonderful introductory ski tour that leads up or alongside the prepared ski slopes towards a delicious destination – the tasty dishes at the Muttereralm mountain hut.
  • Patscherkofel: the (touring) mountain is calling
    Icon Ski tour
An on-piste ski tour of Innsbruck’s local mountain with fantastic views. To complete the route from the bottom to the top of the cable car, you need to cover around 1,000 vertical metres.
  • Seegrube Nordkettenbahnen

From the Golden Roof to standing on your touring skis in just under 30 minutes: this on-piste tour is a unique experience, combined with breathtaking panoramic views.
  • Birgitzer Alm
    Icon Ski tour
A wonderful introductory tour that leads partly through off-piste terrain and past the rustic Birgitzer Alm mountain hut, where you can stop off for a break and bite to eat along the way.
  • Rangger Köpfl
    Icon Ski tour
Thanks to the gondola, it’s possible to skip the steepest section at the start of this tour, which means every family member can choose the best starting point for them.
  • Skitour auf den Wetterkreuzkogel
    Icon Ski tour
More than 1,000 vertical metres of uphill, 360-degree views from the summit and educational to boot – with safety tips and avalanche awareness information along the way.
