The open-air Alpine Zoo is located on the side of a steep mountain. The facility is partially wheelchair accessible but there are a few caveats. A disabled toilet is available. The paths are non-slip, even and step-free. However, they are also steep. The braking power of electric wheelchairs is too low to brake safely on these steep sections. The lower half of the zoo is more easily wheelchair accessible. A lift provides access to the restaurant and kiosk.
