Route naar het startpunt
Zeer afwisselend en aantrekkelijk trailrunning-parcours, dat via de omliggende alpenweides de Patscherkofel omcirkelt.
De route begint bij het middenstation van de Patscherkofel en voert over een bospad langs de Patscher Alm en verder zuidwaarts over bosgrond naar het rustige Viggartal. Het wandelpad "Almenweg 1600" ca. 7 km volgen tot aan de berghut Meissner Haus (bospad). Vanaf daar gaat de weg bergopwaarts in noordelijke richting naar de Alpenherberg Boscheben. U moet ongeveer 300 meter klimmen op een smal wandelpad. Verder over de bekende Zirbenweg (rots, grind) in oostelijke richting tot aan de kruising "Issboden, Sistranser Alm" aan de linkerkant. Na de Sistranser Alm verder in westelijke richting over een bospad naar de Lanser Alm en dan in serpentines langs een steile klim naar het 200 m hoger gelegen bergstation van de Patscherkofel-kabelbaan, het eindpunt van de Almen Trail.
