Hiking in the Karwendel mountains - Zirl

This hike leads past the ruins of the Oberer Issalm mountain hut, through the romantic wilderness of the Wörge Valley and up to Wetterkreuzkogel peak. From there, continue north-west towards the Bielefelder Hütte mountain hut and back via the Balbach Sennhütte mountain hut.

Zirmbachalm - Rietzer Grieskogel

Start at the Zirmbachalm mountain hut and follow trail AV153 to the turnoff for Kreuzjoch. Keep right to follow the AV153 via Narrenböden to the ridge (signposted), which is about a three-hour walk away. From there, turn right along the ridge with its scenic rock faces and follow it for half an hour to the summit.
